World Cup highest scorers in a single match
Scoring a single goal in any World Cup match is a dream for most people, its a dream even for most professional footballers.
To score more than 1 is a fantastic effort, to score more than 1 in a single match is incredible, this greedy lot didn’t stop there.
We all know about Geoff Hurst and his still unsurpassed hat trick in the final, which is a far greater achievement than any of these, but we are still impressed. Most TEAMS don’t score 4 goals during a visit to an entire tournament.
Spare a thought for Ernst Willimowski who scored 4 for Poland and still found himself on the losing side.
